Whew, this one was a long time coming. We shot the interviews with James Riley in March of 2017, four months before this doc was released. It was very much a dream project of mine - I played this game when was 13, and I could have never imagined that I would be working on something related to the game 25 years later.

The edit itself wasn't nearly as challenging as I thought it would be. Having the raw footage from the game to cut to make it simple to cover edits as needed.

The opening shot was the first thing that I shot with my new GH5 camera. It was shot in 4k, so mastering to 1080p allowed to me to get right in on the screen and do a pull out with without a resolution loss. The video on screen is playing in real time. I was playing an edited timeline from Adobe premiere which fed the monitor via a Black Magic card. The first time that card has been truly useful.

This was a very memorable experience, and its really cool to be an actual part of NIght Trap history. We couldn't have done with this without the help of so many people, and most of all, our supporters on Patreon.
